I saw Love!

I know i am talking alot about love lately..But i have really learned so much about it this last month. I used to think that i knew what it meant to be loved and i used to know people whom i though loved me and would do so forever. But now that i have come across the real thing i realize how very wrong and blind i really was. I was looking to others to see what love should be instead of looking at God who is the one that shows us how to love. And it is not about how people love you, what is truly important is how you are loving people. Sometimes i have a hard time loving people. I know that on my own and out of my own abilities there are some people that i could never love as i should, but that's why God helps me to love them with his love, knowing that my love would not be enough. I have felt more loved this last month then i can ever remember feeling loved at all. At first it just felt good and i didn't want to question it i just wanted to be happy, truthfully i was being cynical and wanted to enjoy it while it lasted. After a while i started to question it. Why here, why now,why these people, why this church, why couldn't they love me before, was it them, was it me, so many questions. But i have realized now what it is. This place is real, these people are real, no they are not perfect and they admit that. They also don't exspect me to be perfect either because they no that no one is. Still they love you anyways. And it's not just me.It's anyone that may walk through those doors, young or old, no matter what you are loved. Why? Because they are walking in Gods footsteps putting his word to working, loving like Jesus, loving you with his love. I have become a more loving person. And i am not only the loved but i am becoming the loving. This is how it works, this is what we should be doing.
There's a really old song that John Starnes used to sing and it has really been on my mind lately..It really shows us what love is. Check it out!

John Starnes:I Saw Love

I saw the crowd laughing and mocking as he slowly walked down the street-

I saw the man carrying the cross on his back- as it fell many times at his feet-

They beat him and they pierced him- 'till the blood flowed from his side-

As he slowly turned his face towards me, for the first time, I saw his eyes-

I saw the nails tear his flesh, as the hammer struck down!

I saw the cross being lifted into the air, I saw it fall heavily into the ground-

And the man in the middle, with the tears in his eyes, he was taking my place-

As he slowly turned his face towards me- "I forgive you" I heard him say.

And I saw Love! Like I've never seen love before, from anyone!

And I saw Love, where hatred could have been, for all things that were done!

And the people that stood 'round me Lord, they were blind,

Oh, they could not see, the Love that I saw in his eyes, looking back at me!

And I saw Love! Like I've never seen love before, from anyone!

And I saw Love! Where hatred could have been, for all things that were done!

And the people that stood 'round me Lord, they were blind-

Oh, they could not see- the love that I saw in his eyes, looking back at me!

And I saw Love!

I saw Love!

I saw Love!!
